So yeah. New Year's Eve.

Meh, I think I'll go play Resident Evil 4 or something.

My day just went from crappy to great in a matter of sitting down and going online. Jazz band auditions didn't go as well as I hoped, but then again, I didn't have time to practice so I didn't expect much. When I got home, however, I logged on to check my SAT scores and I did better than I ever thought I was going to do. The funny thing was, my calculator died during one of the math sections (not from batteries, since I had put in new ones before the test, but just because it randomly screwed itself somehow) and I was pissed, but not too worried since it was my third and final time taking it and I was satisfied with my math score already. During the break, I managed to fix whatever was wrong with it and got back on track. I expected the worst in math when I went to check my scores, but I was shocked upon seeing that my math score went up about 40 points.

On top of all that, I realized that I barely had any homework, so I completed it all in roughly a half hour. In addition, we have a three-day week, which rules. Hopefully the week will continue to be this good, and maybe I'll go to sleep early tonight, since I only got about five hours last night and I need to catch up.

Better news to add. My mom is making eggplant parmesan for dinner. Ah, I'm loving today.

Summer reading will be done by tomorrow, which will give me about two and a half days of summer without burdens. I hope to be able to enjoy it. I'm home by myself for the weekend, so I have nothing better to do than to stay up until 3 AM. On a random note, I'd like to go see Transporter 2 sometime during the next few days. I haven't seen its predecessor, but I'm told that the movie is quite cool.

On Thursday, I got my four wisdom teeth extracted. I was told that it was going to be a painful experience over the following days, but it really hasn't bothered me. The most amusing part of the surgical experience was that after about seven minutes of being under laughing gas, I was completely unaffected. It would be funny if it turned out I were immune to it. The doctor eventually just turned on the anesthesia when I told him that I wasn't feeling any different, and I quickly succumbed to unconsciousness.

I think I should get to bed.

Band camp is over.

Summer reading rears its extraordinarily ugly head.

I really need to update this thing more often. Yet, there's not much to talk about in here.

The impending threat of school is looming once again as summer draws into its final month. I still have three books to read for summer reading, not to mention that I have to complete some asinine journal entries to supplement the books. On top of all that, the directions are so obscure, my classmates and I are having trouble making heads or tails of what exactly to do. Thus, I can conclude that AP Language Arts is seriously going to suck.

Band camp is in two weeks. I haven't touched my trumpet all summer, and since I got my braces off, it's going to be a bitch playing that thing. Band camp alone is torturous enough, with its grueling 12-hour daily schedule. Thank God I'm done with band for good after this year.

On another note, I really need to work on some tracks. I promised myself that I'd be able to make a demo tape by the end of the summer, but it doesn't look like that's going to happen. There are so many things I wanted to do that I didn't get to do, and when school comes along, I certainly won't be able to get anything done then. Well, at least my job is over and I'll be getting my last paycheck within the next week.

Maybe I'll remind myself to update sooner.
